The Griffon is a hidden mount found in theCrystal DesertinPath of Fire.

After completing the Path of Fire storyline, players can begin their journey to unlocking a Griffon mount.
Players will begin to find strange items (Strange Pellets of Bone and Fur, Strange Droppings, Strange Feather) that direct them to Beastmaster Ghazal in the Garden of Seborhin, in the northeast Domain of Vabbi. He'll point players to his assistant, Seeker Kandake, at Spearmarshal's Lament on Yahnur Plateau in the southeastern part of the Domain of Vabbi.

How to start
To get there, players must brave the Brandstorm, Kralkatorrik's fury that calls down lightning on all not under cover. One way to reach Yahnur Plateau is to move south from Market Ruins. An alternative way is from Vehtendi Academy Waypoint and then heading east. Follow the path through the Brandstorm, seeking shelter in magic bubbles projected by Djinns. Using aSkimmeralso proves protection against lightning.
Once the river is crossed, players need a Springer with the High Vault mastery to ascend to the plateau. After talking to Kandake, players can continue jumping up with the Springer towards the vista shielded by another Djinn. From there, the Griffon Sanctuary is visible to the east and can be reached without further lightning strikes.
Interacting with the Remains of the Last Spearmarshal in the ruins of the sanctuary unlocks the "Open Skies" collections, which when completed unlocks the mount. Each collection consists of collecting runes from events, finding and collecting griffon eggs scattered across the map, and buying items from Renown Heart Merchants.
There are 10 items in total that must be purchased. Each item costs 25 gold, for a total of 250 gold. Players also obtain the Spearmarshal's Plea item, which can convert 25 Eyes of Kormir into a Sunspear Redemption Wish item, or teleport players back to the sanctuary.

Restore the lost equipment of the Sunspear hermit in the Elon Riverlands to acquire this relic.
Head to the northwest corner of the map, towards the mastery point icon. Talk to Master Sergeant Shadi. You will need to collect 5 items on the map.
- Shadi’s Sword - North of Shadi. Kill the Veteran Water Djinn.
- Shadi’s Boots - In The Scavengelands, northwest of Skimmer Ranch waypoint. Talk to Veteran Chikkak. Defeat him & he drops the boots.
- Shadi’s Gloves - Interact with the Pile of Leaves on top of the pillar, south of Skimmer Ranch wp.
- Shadi’s Armor - Northeast of Skimmer Ranch wp. Use a Skimmer to get in the small cave. Interact with the Hermit’s chest.
- Shadi’s Helm - From Augury's Shadow waypoint, go to the northeast corner of the map. Go into the small cave & interact with the Pile of Equipment.

Open Skies: Sunspear Sanctuary & Sunspear Wisdom
Collect 11 books on Sunspear history from Kormir's sanctum.
After you have finished all 5 Open Skies achievement, use the Spearmarshal's Plea in your bag to return to the Griffon Sanctuary in Domain of Vabbi. Place the eggs in the marked spots and complete Open Skies: Sunspear Sanctuary. This also unlocks the next part, Open Skies: Sunspear Wisdom.
You will receive Divine Passage which will grant you access to Kormir's Sanctum. To get there, port to Lommuld Kraal waypoint in the northeastern part of Desert Highlands. Head east to Tomb of Primeval Kings and reopen the portal to the Library.
You will need to kill 10 Elite mobs to obtain 10 keys to open the 10 chests that contains the Writings of the Last Spearmarshal volumes. There are 6 chests on the bottom floor. On the top floor, there are 2 on the outer ring, 1 on the inner ring and 1 on a long pathway up high.
Completing this achievement will lead toOpen Skies: On Wings and a Prayer.
