How to make Kesar Badam Milk – Ingredients list

  • Milk – preferably Full Fat Milk, otherwise Cow Milk also works
  • Nuts like Cashew & Almond
  • Spices like Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Pepper, Saffron
  • Sugar

Step-by-step instructions for this Badam Milk recipe

  • Soak the nuts overnight or for at least 4 hours to soften them
  • Once soaked, peel the almonds and grind them along with the cashew into a smooth paste
  • Pour the milk into a pot and allow it to simmer till it thickens
  • Crush the Cardamom pods and grind the seeds along with pepper. Add it to the milk with some saffron threads
  • Add the nuts paste and give the milk a vigorous stir. Keep stirring as the milk simmers so that the bottom of the milk doesn’t stick to the pot and burn
  • Once you find the liquid has reduced to half of the original quantity, turn off the heat and pour it out and serve
  • You may garnish it with some finely chopped pistachios and saffron. In case serving to the kids, you may skip the garnish
